1.) It gets the job done.
2.) It replaces the middle mouse button's purpose instead of just adding to it which avoids strange behavior.
Con's of this add-on:
1.) It doesn't scroll smoothly (about 3 lines of text at a time which gives this add-on a very clunky feel), and does not have the pixel level accuracy of other older add-ons that will become obsolete in Firefox 57.
2.) It doesn't give the user any control over what button should be assigned for scrolling.
3.) It doesn't provide a way to manage the copy and paste functionality of the buttons this add-on is replacing like older add-ons that will become obsolete in Firefox 57 do.Antwoord van ontwikkelaar
8 jaar geleden geplaatstGreat feedback! Frankly, I haven't thought of con #3. Can you rise an issue https://github.com/StoyanDimitrov/middle-mouse-button-scroll/issues with your expectations or usecase?
As for the other two con's it's like that by design. The main purpose of the extension is to scroll fast long pages with middle mouse button. (;
