- Rated 4 out of 5by MN, 8 days agoHeads up: If you're downloading a larger book, rely on the progress bar in the Download button on the IA webpage, rather than the download menu in Firefox itself. Even then, it took the add-on a few tries to successfully download the 500-page book I was after, with multiple failed attempts retrieving an incomplete or unreadable PDF, so you might have to be persistent.
- Rated 5 out of 5by looptit, 11 days agoRead the about section! You need an account and to borrow the book before the download button pops up, and then it works flawlessly.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Ferrocide, 15 days agoIt worked for me, I just had to download the latest firefox crx and refresh my page!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Any, a month agoUsed this downloader yesterday and today to download a bunch of long out of print kids books that I can't wait to read and pass along to all my friends with kiddos! Really worked very well, will definitely use again if I find something in the archives I need but can't find anywhere for sale.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17240526, 4 months agoExtension reports"TypeError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource..
Please contact the developer." It worked fine with previous Firefox versions. Since Firefox was updated to 134 it constantly reports the error above.Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by silverlake, 5 months agoworks perfectly and makes life a lot easier. just one question: is there any way to convert the downloaded PDF to another format like EPUB after downloading? I haven't been able to do it, my converter just hangs when I try.

posted 5 months agoevery page of the downloaded pdf file is an image indeed, so it's no sense to convert to other format - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12097049, 6 months agoThanks for this extremely useful add-on, which worked fine until today! Now, in any attempt to download a borrowed book, I get the message: "File download was blocked. Please contact the developer.". It may be irrelevant, but the messages started, after updating Firefox to v. 133.0.
Update: It works smoothly again, thanks for fixing it so quickly! - Rated 5 out of 5by sam, 6 months agoi think the ext. got blocked by the "archive.org" admins, when i click download it give me this "File download was blocked.
Please contact the developer."
thanks for everything though and I hope you can, soooooon, get past the block. - Rated 3 out of 5by ExUno, 7 months agoSince Internet Archive's hack, these extensions no longer work, Internet Archive Downloader and the CORS Patch for Internet Archive Downloader. An earlier URL hack (archive.org/services/loans/loan/?action=media_url&identifier=XXXXXXXXXXXXX&format=pdf&redirect=1) also stopped working. Any updates or links to other 1-hour borrow downloads would be awesome.
