This works great for MPC-BE

Please consider doing an addon for MPC-BE.. it requires very little work to convert it, it's pretty much the exact same exe file, it's just that it's mpc-be64.exe and in a different folder. This extension does work when renaming the exe file but that makes it hard to have both be and hc installed on the same system.

I've been using it for years with Vista. Right click a file, video, etc., open with MPC. All it takes. Plays about any format without presetting. Loaded with controls and options, changable while playing.
