The SoVid browser extension makes downloading Facebook and Instagram videos (including private videos) as well as videos from stories extremely simple.

SoVid allows you to enable custom filenames to make organizing downloads even simpler!

Facebook Videos (including private):
Find the video you'd like to download and click on it to display it in theater mode. Then simply click the green download button.

Facebook Videos from Stories:
Click the green download button when viewing the story

Instagram Videos (including private):
Click the green download button that appears on videos in your feed, or click on a post and click the green download button that appears inside the popup window.

Instagram Videos from Stories:
Click the green download button that appears near the username at the top of the story.
