(I just switched to 4 for the following reason below)

You can make Qwant your default Firefox browser without installing the extension by navigating to the Qwant site. Clicking the search box icon will allow you to add Qwant as a search engine and make it the default if you like.

This works. It gives me the option to make qwant my search engine and is customizable without hard-wiring any preferences.
Why on;y 4? It seems a tad slow. If this is because the sites are in europe, I would accept that. I am not sure at this time.開發者回應

As for the website, could you please give us some information on what is slow? Is it the overall loading, the results?
