— JD6T_P6, pred 6 meseciI've been using "Malwarebytes Browser Guard" for a couple of months, and I've noticed a few issues.
There's no doubt it does a great job blocking malicious sites, trackers, scams, etc. But it also slows down the browser when I have several tabs open or when loading more than one tab at the same time. After testing, I noticed a pattern (at least in my case): the more images a website has (Google Maps, ArtStation, Pinterest, etc.), the worse the browser's performance gets. So, I went into the extension's settings and disabled its three main features (Ads/Trackers = Off, Malware = Off, Scams = Off) for each of these sites, but to my surprise, it didn't work—the sites were still slow. I assume that Malwarebytes is still scanning all the links on the site, but the fact that this happens even after disabling those features feels like a big flaw. Hopefully, it's just me not knowing how to use the extension properly, but for now, I had to disable it.
At first, I thought the issue was related to my browser's cache or something similar, so I reset the browser, and that fixed it temporarily. However, once I reinstalled my extensions, the issue came back. After testing them one by one, I found out that the problem was caused by "Malwarebytes Browser Guard."
This wouldn't be such a big deal, but I use the aforementioned pages a lot and at least I think that many users also use Google Maps and from my experience, that's where the issue is the worst.

objavljeno ob pred 5 dneviWe are back to regular updates, thanks for holding on with us.- Ocenjeno z 4 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 18925976, pred 2 mesecemaOverall, it’s good, but I’d like to see more details in the statistics—specifically, the types of malware that have been blocked, not just the numbers.
Also, the 'Access your data for all websites' option is listed as optional, but it’s necessary for the program to work. I know you’ve been pretty transparent about how the data is used, but this does raise some concerns about data security as the company isn’t open-source.Odgovor razvijalca
objavljeno ob pred 5 dneviThank you for the feedback, we'll take it into consideration.
With a premium subscription on Windows, you do get access to your detection history; not exactly what you asked for, but maybe you'll find it useful.
"Access your data for all websites" is indeed a required permission, and I do understand your concern. On Firefox, we don't collect any data. Full privacy policy is here: https://www.malwarebytes.com/privacy/policy-for-browser-guard.
If you are technically inclined, you can see all the requests Browser Guard makes by doing the following:
1. Navigate to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
2. Next to Malwarebytes Browser Guard, click "Inspect"
3. Click "Network" in the new console that opens, from there you can see all network traffic Browser Guard is making. - Ocenjeno z 1 od 5— GlennS, pred 2 mesecema
