This is a browser extension that uses internal API of Shazam to recognize the music playing in the current tab.
Librezam also supports Audd and ACRCloud as alternative backends, which can be changed from the configuration.
Unlike other similar extensions, it works on almost all sites and has fewer bugs.
Requests unrelated to music recognition, such as telemetry, will not be made.

* Stuck in loading animation forever
This may be due to the fact that the site permission has been revoked.
This can occur rarely, for example when updating add-ons
Open the “Permissions” tab in the add-on settings and grant the “Access your data for all websites” permission
*Songs are not recognized
The music recognition process of this extension relies on the Shazam, Audd, and ACRCloud APIs, and the Shazam backend is used by default.
If the song is not recognised correctly, try changing to a different recognition backend or extending the recording time from the extension settings.
ACRCloud has the highest recognition accuracy.
*Recommended recording length
Most popular songs: 3,200
Shazam - Minor songs: 12,000
Audd - Minor songs: 9,000
ACRCloud - Minor songs: 5,000
ACRCloud - Cover songs, humming: 7,200
Set the backend to ACRCloud, enable humming recognition, specify the API key, and set the recording time to 7200 or higher for the highest recognition accuracy.
If some songs are not recognised by the Shazam backend, specify a recording time of 12000 or higher to improve accuracy.
