FFTabClose is a Firefox extension that automatically closes inactive tabs to help manage browser performance. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it.

FFTabClose collects minimal technical data necessary for its functionality:

• Tab Timestamps: When each tab was last accessed (stored as numerical timestamps)
• Tab IDs: Temporary browser-generated identifiers for open tabs
• User Preferences: Your extension settings (timeout duration, pinned tab behavior, etc.)

What We DON'T Collect

FFTabClose does NOT collect:
- ❌ Browsing history or URLs
- ❌ Page content or personal information
- ❌ Search terms or form data
- ❌ Passwords or login information
- ❌ Any personally identifiable information

Data Storage and Usage

Local Storage Only

• All data is stored locally on your device using Firefox's storage APIs
• No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties
• No analytics or tracking of any kind

Data Purpose

The collected technical data is used exclusively to:
- Determine which tabs are inactive and eligible for closing
- Remember your extension preferences
- Provide statistics about tab management

Data Retention

• Tab timestamps are automatically cleaned when tabs are closed
• Extension preferences persist until you uninstall the extension
• You can reset all data at any time through the extension interface

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:
- View: All data is accessible through the extension's debug interface
- Delete: Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data
- Control: You can disable the extension or modify settings at any time
