    By far the best proxy toggle addon I could find from a perspective of privacy and simplicity-utility ratio. Any other addon asked for too many permissions or doesn't supported proxys with login data.

    Works great on my Windows machines but unfortunately not on my Android device. It just take no effect when I toggle it. The IP stays the same. I'm using the latest Firefox and the same paid Socks5 proxy on all devices.

    this addon requires the less permissions than some of the others.
    seems to work fine if you need to toggle your connection without going through firefox pref page.

    It is an easy to use add-on that I can do what I need. +5
    (However, the graphics of the toggle button has one problem. Because it is a transparent icon used only black, it can not be seen under the system theme with a dark background. -1)

    The last time I checked this, you had to set "svg.context-properties.content.enabled" to true in about:config to allow the icons to change colour.

    Does exactly what promised and nothing more; the code is very short and easy to review.

    It's unfortunate that you have to set up the proxy in the add-on settings, but that's a limitation of Firefox itself (the add-ons are no longer allowed to toggle the switch in the browser's settings, since Mozilla's move to WebExtensions).

    This add-on works great with PIA proxy settings. It seems much faster than using the VPN Client and you can switch instantaneously. Thanks to the developer.
