i loved using this addon but now its advertising its own premium service by having it show up a warning saying my ad block software is out of date.

sorry but after years of this being free it has jumped on the premium band wagon removing stuff that was free and is now behind a paywall.

sorry but no more, an ad blocker using ad's for its own software premium is a step to far

Hi corvin, AdBlock is still free and blocks ads just as it always has. We do offer Premium options (that don't change the ad blocking services you've always enjoyed) which you can read about here: https://help.getadblock.com/support/solutions/articles/6000195093. frequently pops up a new tab about upgrading to premium. and i've seen the pathetic responses from addblock's representatives...sure we can just click the x button like you said, but that's defeating the whole purpose of your existence! so stop telling users to close out of an unwanted tab that you created and stop asking people for money!

Deactivates itself, or pauses itself, trying to watch videos on Youtube. Also, this extension has had more issues blocking ads on other websites than other extensions I have used. I will try it again another time, hopefully they fix the extension by then.

Yet another extension mooching off of ABP's revenue stream. These by definition, regardless of how much actual blocking they are doing, are just another method big corp uses to circumvent the real thing. Don't be fooled.
