1Password: Password Manager per 1Password

per JS, 3 years agoJust doing the upgrade to v8 and nothing but problems. Finally managed to get the extension installed and the icon showing up in the toolbar.
HOWEVER, 1Password does not let me use it without turning off "Never remember history" and/or "Always use private browsing mode". Never had this issue before so unsure why now, and can't seem to get an answer or solution from 1Password support.
Seems crazy to me that all of a sudden I have to give up privacy and browsing preferences to be able to use this program. Deal breaker for me so I'm hoping support can help in the end.

publicate 3 years agoHey there,
1Password for Firefox needs the ability to write to the local database to store data. If Firefox is configured to always launch in Private Browsing mode, then 1Password doesn't have the ability to write to that local database.
If you'd like to use 1Password in Firefox as well as browse in Private Browsing mode, configuring Firefox to not open in Private Browsing mode automatically, then manually launching a Private Browsing window would be your best bet. You can configure 1Password to be allowed in Private Browsing mode in the extension settings page.

- Classificate 1 de 5per Usator de Firefox 19080746, 4 days agoThis app is terrible. The support sucks and trying to get anyone to address my billing issues has been impossible. I signed up and could never get it to work. I signed up with a different email and somehow they linked the two and now they have locked the first one that we could never make work and so that locked the second one too, which we paid for. Now we are locked out. TERRIBLE SUPPORT. Don't use it way to complicated to make work and support.
- Classificate 1 de 5per Stewart, 5 days agoAdding to similar feedback from other users. Since a recent update, this extension no longer works in Firefox. I have tried removing and reinstalling the extension, etc. Nothing happens when you click on the extension, and no autofill of passwords on websites either. It is useless now (whereas it was almost perfect before) As this feature is an essential element of the membership we are paying for, this clearly needs to be fixed.

- Classificate 1 de 5per Usator de Firefox 19116250, 14 days agoI cannot add a 1Password account to the extension if it has MFA enabled on it. When trying, the extension setup simply sends me to the 1 Password Web UI and does not store the account in the extension.

- Classificate 1 de 5per aclacy, 23 days agoBeen trying to recover my wife's account for almost 6 months. Nothing you tell me to do recovers this account. I have tried and so has she but there is a problem with with the directions. The items you say are suppose to pop up don't. The BOT is useless as is the help you try to provide by clicking on help. Can't speak to a human and when getting the code for them to email you. It takes days for them to help. Very unhappy with 1 Password.
- Classificate 1 de 5per billdwp, a month agoWhen and if it works it's great; however, that's less than 50% of the time. I have to keep opening the program and copy and pasting the passwords into the websites. This is a real hassle, I've tried to correct it, but none of the suggestions have worked.
