Minor fix for the last version that would ignore treating some URLs due to a faulty condition

An attempt at making performance better by reducing polling and using more events.

We still need to poll the RSS URLs every minute, but at least the front-end doesn't poll the local database every 500 milliseconds anymore (even when the page is in the background)
