The audio player has been reworked to so that the controls are displayed on the attachment.
When the audio file is not supported by the browser an error message will be displayed.

Fix that limits the extension to only work on the Gmail website.

This version fixes a bug in which the video and audio player was opened in a normal window even when using Gmail in an incognito window.
The playback should be more robust.
Video and audio should load faster.

In this release the way audio and video plays in the browser has been reworked. The media is now opened in a new tab.

Gmail Mod adds extra functionality to the Gmail website.
The current version has the following features:

* Embedded video player for video attachments with file extension .mp4/.webm/.ogv/.mov
* Embedded audio player for audio attachments with file extension .wav/mp3/ogg
* A settings window where you can enable or disable Gmail Mod features.

Note that some files may not play because of an incorrect file extension or unsupported codec by the web browser.

KNOWN ISSUES
In Firefox it is possible to search in the video, but in Chrome it is not.
This is because the video tag is being dealt with differently in both browsers.
