Last update made UI worse. Now I have to click a small button to perform a function that was triggered by a big broad button.

I had to roll back to version 2024.11.2 and disabled the update.

Update: The UX issue I have can be reverse with an existing setting. The performance issues seem improved as well.

From downloading it 2020 to November 2024 this has been a 5 star addon for me, but they've recently updated it and it is slower and buggy now.

This update also change the UI functionality. It use to work like this:

Clicking the entry auto-filled and there was a smaller button to the side to open details to edit.

Now its reversed. Auto fill, the most important function, is now a small button. Now its a small button to the side. I don't need to check the details every day, I need to auto fill.

The UI itself looks nice, but not nice enough to justify the performance hit, and the functionality changes are just bad user experience choice.

This app was great but the latest UI update is laughably terrible. They went with something pretty at the expense of functionality. I sent a support email pointing some very basic questionable design decisions and got a reply back effectively telling me I'm a piece of shit and they already checked with their biggest sycophants that it was good design. Making the button that is pressed 90%+ of the time 20px wide was an extremely terrible idea.

We appreciate this tool a lot as it facilitates our everyday life on the Internet. Until now it was very convenient to have it always open on the screen as a sidebar. As the new look now is much broader at the sidebar this is not possible anymore. That's a pity, but still Bitwarden will stay our favorite among the password managers.

Fill button is a disaster, NEVER change muscle memory behavior! Maybe change the Fill button to Edit button. This will make the edit fuctionality quickly available. But the main goal for a password manager is filling user/password combination. So default behavior should be kept as it was before !

With this Fill disaster change reverted, 5 stars rating will also be restored

The new UI update was an insane step back for Bitwarden. The extension would have been 5 stars before this update, but now there are some glaring shortcomings and some serious pain points for the user experience. These oversights truly make me question the competence of the team behind this extension. "If it ain't broke..."

Was 5 stars before UI update in December of 2024. The new one makes accessing identity and credit card fills much harder. There were no issues with the old UI. Please revert back to it.

New version lost features I used. No longer has solarized theme and favorites are sorted by use and not able to change sort. Password management is still 5 stars but new version's user experience is losing 2 stars. This maybe not be an issue for all but found it to be an issue for me.

Update 01/21/2025:
Changing from 1-star to 5-star. Bitwarden has listened to its community and implemented the usability improvement which restored the ease of use to a level that is equivalent the original version. However, several settings have to be changed for this to happen. This is not an issue for me, but might be for some other users who don't read reviews, forum posts or update notes.

It was perfect until the UI update circa Dec 2024 that completely destroyed the ease of use. I can't get to my credit cards / identities on first click. They are now hidden under a drop down menu. Also, the "fill" button becomes so small it becomes a precision job. Please, don't "fix" what's not broken.

5 stars until the new UI update. Please revert to clicking the entire item for auto-filling. Needing to press a tiny "fill" button is a poor user experience.

Was decent before last update, it becomes less intuitive, more complicated do autofill, sometimes i have to go back to the password list to have a fill form button, and some even need to click the tree dots (options) to look for the fill option, definetly a very bad update in therms of usability, this is suposed to autofill our passwords, and thats the reason we install this, somehow they seem o left aside the very essence of this add-on

For personal use this is okay, not as good as lastpass, but okay. For enterprise usage, hardly usable. Enter master password, then enter a code that arrives by mail, but when window lose focus it disapears.
It's possible to work around, but the neglection by the developers make me fear for the security of the entire product.
