par Publius Maximus, il y a 3 ansDDG has never been able to secure my trust. I am an IT professional who has rigorously tested dozens of search engines. My five favorites are: Brave, MetaGer, Mojeek, Qwant, and Swisscows -- none of which are hosted in the USA. DDG is nearly as insecure as Google or BIng.
DDG's lack of transparency in operating policies, blocking trackers, yet allowing some trackers (anonymous or not) without clearly informing users destroys trust and credibility.

If you read the entire DDG policies, you will discover that they pass data to affiliates eBay and Amazon.

P.S. Duckduckgo is fairly junky in terms of finding good results you will end up with tons of stuff that you didn't even search for, better off using brave or presearch because it's not owned by the evil corps that don't care about us except making money.

- Noté 3 sur 5par Kelson, il y a 2 moisKeep in mind that it blocks *trackers*, not *ads*. The main advantage it has over, say, Privacy Badger and newer browser settings is that it detects email address fields and offers to generate a disposable alias (if you use that feature)
