The add-on does what it does: showing the unread mails. And if it would stayed with that, it would be a great add-on. But with the last update this piece of garbage forces itself on the new tab search function, which can't be turned off.

We apolologize any inconvience caused.

Unfortunately an error, which we could not find despite extensive testing, has crept into this update. That should not have happened.
If the option 'Clear history when Firefox closes' is activated in the Firefox settings 'Privacy' => 'History', the entered account data will also be deleted when closing Firefox. This also applies to all other MailCheck settings.

We are currently working on a new version that fixes this bug. This version will be published on Friday.

Maybe you will like to give MailCheck another chance then.
