por AshiAshi, hace 4 añosI'd love to use this extension, from the looks of it it's incredibly convenient. For this reason, I've installed it - but none of the quality sliders are working for me. I can't move them at all, no matter what I try. For as far as I can tell if I read other reviews, maybe it's because I'm using Windows 7?

Thank you for taking the time to test it. Your explanation is spot on and clarifies why I can't move the sliders. The only file types I want to convert, are .bmp and .webp ones and I've set both to be converted to .png files. The rest says 'Don't convert' (though I thought it was logical for their sliders not to move, I just didn't understand why the other 2 wouldn't). I get it now. (And just to be sure, I checked and noticed that if I say I want a file to be converted into a .jpg one, I'm able to move the slider just fine.)
Thanks again for your time, and for your response. It was helpful <3

publicado el hace 4 añosI have just tested the add on with firefox on windows 7. The sliders seem to work as they are supposed to. Please note that they only work for conversions to .jpg. png is a lossless format and therefore quality cannot be reduced thus the sliders are grayed out.
In other encoders you might be able to provide something like a compression level. This however changes the amount of compression applied to the image, and does not affect the image quality. Only the filesize is reduced or increased at the cost of encoding and decoding times, the content of the file will be the same. Changeing the compression level is not available in the firefox build in encoder en thus not provided.

At first, I thought it was a shame it saved the image in .png but I then realised that plenty of options are available in the extensions parameters.
Marche à merveille, en ce qui me concerne.
Au début je trouvais dommage que l'image soit enregistré en .png pour ensuite réaliser que pleins d'options sont disponibles dans les paramètres de l'extension. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por edenflare, hace 5 mesesSo far so good it works, don't know anything technical but it converts .avif to png format just right click on images and convert and then save location, don't know why .avif even exists it's a stupid format and firefox needs to fix this as I dont really like using alot of addons, it takes up memory in total, but this one is 5 star unless there's an issue in the future at some point.
Programmer deserves donations for this so if you're rich donate to the guy and buy them some coffee and a snack. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Seän Shepherd, hace 6 meses

So guess where it was downloaded and where it was not downloaded. A setup!

publicado el hace un añoThe image that you are trying to download is hosted on a server that uses some kind of hotlink protection. (you can only access it when you are active on certain webstites). unfortunately the nature of this addon makes it incompatible with these kinds of protection. instead of the image you got an error response that resulted in the empty file. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Dill, hace un añoThis is very useful! However, I really want this to have an option for "convert and copy to clipboard".
Often, when I copy images onto storyboards, the service will compress larger images, destroying their utility for art.
If this extension had a convert + copy button, I'd be able to easily upload the tiny WebP files instead, which aren't compressed.
I know this works because I can do so manually, with `cwebp` on a terminal window. However, that's kind of slow, and it'd be super nice in this extension!
Anyway, I love this extension. Thanks for helping my workflow 🥰Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace un añoThank you for the suggestion, I have looked into the matter and unfortunately Firefox is currently not capable of programmatically copying a webp image to the clipboard. Only png and jpeg formats are supported. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 14855386, hace un añoVery useful & productive... best converter till now
