by Firefox user 16749060, 4 years agoEDIT 2: Thanks to another reviewer, I found out you can remap the shortcut key, which was the primary reason for my 3 star choice. Not sure why Okta doesn't ship a default key binding that actually works, or why they haven't updated their own website to reflect this change, and I also think it's pretty telling that I had to find out this information from another reviewer, so I'm not going to change it. Anyways, HUGE thanks Rich L.!
Does what it's supposed to do, which is good enough for me. But seriously, still no keyboard shortcut in March of 2021? I loathe having to click on this thing every time I want to access anything, and the extra 3 seconds it takes for me to click on the plugin and then the search dialog adds up really fast given how often I need to use it. That's literally my only complaint, but I use keyboard shortcuts for almost everything on my computer, so my inability to do this for something I use so often is really quite irritating.
I see there are other reviews which mention this, and there are replies from the Okta team that they're working on it from as far back as September 2019...I understand that web development is not easy (I'm a developer myself), and I know the team has other more important priorities which is totally okay, but I have kind of a hard time believing it takes that long to implement a keyboard shortcut for one browser.
Okta team, thank you sincerely for all the hard work you've done and the very useful/powerful application you've built, but if you could at least share if you're planning on implementing this in the near future, that would be really appreciated, as it well help me decide if I want to find a workaround for this or not.
EDIT: fixed a typo

- Rated 2 out of 5by ShroudedNight, 5 months agoSignificant hindrances to usability:
1. Seemingly oblivious to container tabs - all shortcuts open in the default container, despite not even having an authenticated session present there.
2. Does not appear to provide any kind of unification for single-sign-on. Again shortcuts opened into the default container, then required me to re-enter my password as there was no existing authenticated session. It also did not bridge or forward the authorization captured by the extension from a different container.
3. Supposed keyboard shortcut conflicts with a bookmark menu shortcut and does not work.
Ultimately, I'm not sure what this provides beyond a 'cute' mirror of the Okta dashboard... - Rated 5 out of 5by Steven Ennis, 6 months ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13717695, a year agoIt's useful but I need the tabs to open in the work container, not the default one. Otherwise it works well.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18145713, 2 years agoI like the convenience of this app but everything opens in a new tab. By the end of a day I end up with millions of tabs. I would like an option to make it open in the current tab.
- Rated 1 out of 5by collegesista, 2 years agoI'm unable to autofill or save passwords because I'm unable to setup a pin. I had high hopes for this product, but it's virtually unusable.

- Rated 1 out of 5by samdunham, 2 years agoOkta deprecated the PIN functionality in September. It's currently October. And the Firefox plugin still asks for a PIN when you attempt to log in. So basically, Okta is useless in Firefox at the moment.
