NoScript Security Suite by Giorgio Maone

by Firefox user 14047791, 7 years agoNoScript is essential and useful but the Android version seems not to have the right click [NoScript] element apparent to allow then management of which sites scripts are allowed. Only atm via the add-ons and preferences whitelist.. that does not work well for knowing which domain a URL is trying to pull. Too many websites draw on 3rd party sites for essential elements than not having this available on the Android version is a nuisance. My impression was that this was available initially and seemed then to disappear.. I don't know if that's a bug or my confusion but surprised that this is a problem.. would be 5* otherwise.

posted 7 years agoThe menu is there at startup, but it disappears from time to time. To make it appear again, you need to disable and then re-enable again the add-on. If this is what is happening to you, it seems Firefox bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=832990 is not quite fixed yet...

- Rated 1 out of 5by Max, a month agoI really wanted to use NoScript. I prefer single-purpose extensions that focus on doing one job well, compared to more multi-purpose extensions like uBlock Origin.
However, I ultimately couldn't stick with it because the user experience did not suit my needs.
E.g. one mobile screen presents around 12 different icons packed into the height of 3 lines of text, leaving a large portion of the screen completely empty below them.
My main frustration is that none of these icons have labels. Expecting users to learn and memorize the meaning of a dozen different unlabeled symbols creates an unnecessary barrier to entry and makes using the extension quickly and efficiently very difficult. It feels counter-intuitive to leave so much screen real estate blank when that space could be used to label each icon and explain its function.
uBlock Origin is easier to use than NoScript. - Rated 5 out of 5by LittleFire, a month ago
