Firefox Multi-Account Containers by Firefox

by Firefox user 14380695, 7 months agoI have used this for add-on for quite a number of years, have never experienced any problems, and appreciate the role that it plays (with the Facebook-container package as well). Lastly, as an add-on it's been vetted by Firefox, which should be another layer of correctness and security for the code.

- Rated 1 out of 5by nightwatchrenband, 4 days agoNOT enjoying at ALL. All my customized containers disappeared, only 4 default containers. There is NO "Manage Containers" option anymore. So I cannot even recreate them. What the sam hill is going on ?

- Rated 2 out of 5by Steve Lavendar, 4 days agoCame across this one a couple of months ago, thinking that's just what I've been looking for: an extension that allows me to quickly bookmark (right-click or keyboard shortcut would be nice) a site into “containers” (for lack of a better description).
Alas, this one turns out to be a bit like one those earlier Chinese apps I had to deal with while living & teaching there:
Great idea(s)! Though execution suc*s!
Example: while the initial premise of being able to create separate accounts for separate purposes kinda works, the extension doesn't seem to be able to store bookmarks in their related containers. As soon as I close & reopen Firefox the containers are once again empty, and I need to re-research for the sites I was looking for. To make matters worse, there doesn't seem to be an option to drag n drop existing (or new) bookmarks to related containers. Guess we gotta wait for an AI, or otherwise intelligent, solution.
Would be a great extension if it would offer an intuitive way to bookmark & save sites into relevant containers (and keep them there after closing FF).
Then again, I probably didn’t get the initial purpose of this extension, and might be looking in the wrong place, or perhaps I just don’t get what’s it trying to offer. Cheers. - Rated 5 out of 5by Alejandro, 5 days ago
