by vexillia, 2 years agoSo far so good. Of course there's a but.
I'm using view 5 with show unread only & manual "mark as read".
When I mark all the items in a folder read with shift-A they are marked as read in the folder view bur not the reading pane. I have to reload the page to remove the read items.
Likewise when I follow shift-A with shift-N, to move to the next folder with unread items, the viewing pane doesn't refresh and shows the read items from the previous folder.
If I'm doing something stupid please let me know how to get what I want.

Developer response
posted 2 years agoWorks as designed.
1. When you shift-A a feed or folder with "show only unread" mode active, there's really no point in removing articles from the screen. Leaving them visible lets the user to undo the operation fully or partially.
2. When the user moves to the next feed or folder with shift-N, it's not guaranteed that the user wants to load the contents (especially if the user has automatic "mark as read" mode on). The user might very well want to skip to the next one without loading the contents. Therefore you need to press shift-O to load the contents. So shift-N, shift-O combination is the magic.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Narendran Gopalakrishnan, 18 days agoThe best among those I have tried. Recently chrome blocked it due to MV3, and I switched to Feedbro on Firefox, but find that Alt+{1,2,3,4,5} of firefox are overridden when on the Feedbro page. A minor hitch.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Jean-Michel Molinas, 25 days agoI like very much this applications but it is the third time I lost all my feed subscriptions (windows update, firefox synchronisation) and I found there is no way to save automatically my feed subscriptions somewhere I could find it in case of breakdown. Please could you implement such a feature?

- Rated 3 out of 5by AverageJoe, 2 months agoUI is somewhat counterintuitive; when I added a feed to "Root", its contents populated the extension's menu (when you click its icon in the extension menu), not what I would have expected-that's all. Seems adding all your feeds to one menu is not what most people would want to do (probably should be an option there to create a new folder). The options UI has gratuitous animations, with no apparent option to turn off animations.

When selecting a folder from the article preview card, it is unclear which feed it belongs to, and there is no way to quickly delete the corresponding feed as no longer interesting.
When selecting Statistics, some feeds are immediately marked as Selected. Why?
RMB in the news list unexpectedly works like SMB.
There is no cloud syncing of feeds via browser, nor via Google Drive/Dropbox connection.
Mozilla Firefox 140.0b1 (64-bit), Feedbro 4.16.3 (Mar 24, 2024), Microsoft Windows 10.0.19045.5854. - Rated 4 out of 5by andrenix, 3 months agoIt is very good, almost perfect. The rules feature is very complete.
Unfortunately it lacks a "search" feature (or I couldn't find it), which would be very useful. - Rated 5 out of 5by Dra Vu, 3 months ago
