Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the FastHostInfo extension (“we”) processes data when it is used.

1. Data collected and transmitted

  • No personal data (such as your IP address, browsing history, identity, or any information that could identify you) is collected, stored, or transmitted by FastHostInfo.
  • When using the extension, two types of access to external resources occur:
  • Automatic download of IP databases
    • The extension periodically downloads (by default every 24 hours, configurable interval) public IP/country correspondence files from ip-location-db via the jsdelivr CDN.
    • These downloads do not contain or send any data relating to the user or their browsing.
  • Request to ip.guide when opening the popup
    • When you click on the extension icon (flag) to open the popup, the extension sends the IP address of the server of the website currently being viewed to ip.guide in order to obtain enriched geolocation information (country, city, ASN, etc.).
    • No information about the user or their device is transmitted to ip.guide.
  • If you never open the popup, no request is sent to ip.guide.

2. Use of data
  • The data from the downloaded databases is used solely to determine the country of the server locally.
  • The information received from ip.guide is displayed in the popup for the user, but is not stored or transmitted elsewhere.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies
  • The extension does not use cookies or any tracking or analysis technologies.

4. Data sharing
  • No personal data is shared with third parties.
  • Only the IP address of the server of the website visited is transmitted to ip.guide, and only when the popup is opened.

5. Security
  • The extension operates locally and does not store any sensitive data.
  • Database downloads are performed via HTTPS.

6. Policy changes
  • We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. Changes will be posted in the extension or on the associated website.
