About this extension
ThePricer's MoneyToTime helps you make smarter spending decisions by showing the true cost of products in terms of your working time, not just dollars.
Features:
• Automatically converts prices on any website into work hours or minutes
• Customizable hourly wage and working hours
• Handles various currency formats
• Supports multiple languages
• Simple popup interface with custom settings
• Color-coded warnings for expensive items
This add-on gives you financial perspective by answering: "How many hours must I work to afford this?" Simply browse normally and see prices translated into your personal time value.
Note for reviewers: To build from source code:
Extract the source code ZIP
Run npm install to install dependencies
Run npm run build:firefox to build the extension
No additional steps are required beyond these commands. The build process uses esbuild to bundle the JavaScript files, but there's no minification or obfuscation that would make review difficult. All transformations are simple module bundling with comments and formatting preserved.
The BUILD_INSTRUCTIONS.md file included in the source code ZIP contains more detailed information, including the mapping between source files and bundled outputs.
